Dishwasher Arms Not Spinning – What To Do?

I was reading my favorite TV explain last night and noticed something weird.
My dishwasher arms weren’t spinning!
I thought maybe it was because I didn’t have enough water in the machine, but then I remembered that I had filled it up earlier that day.
So, I turned off the faucet and tried again.
Still no luck.
So, I decided to call the plumber.
He came out and checked the drain and said he couldn’t find anything wrong.
He also told me that sometimes the arms don’t spin if there’s too much debris in the drain.
If you notice that your arms aren’t spinning, try cleaning out the drains before calling a plumber.
If that doesn’t work, contact your local appliance repairman.

How Does A Dishwasher Spray Arm work?

A dishwasher spray arm works by spraying water from the bottom of the dishwasher onto dishes being washed. This helps remove dirt and grease from the dishes. It also prevents the dishes from sticking together during washing. The spray arm is attached to the top of the dishwasher. It consists of a motor, a gear box, a shaft, and a nozzle. The nozzle sprays water into the dishwasher. The nozzle is connected to the gear box via a shaft. The gear box converts the rotational motion of the motor into linear motion. The linear motion is transferred to the shaft. The shaft connects the gear box to the nozzle. The nozzle sprouts water into the dishwasher when the gear box turns the motor.
